Tales from the Bard- Agony of the Soul.

Agony of the body is one thing. Physical pain is momentary, sharp bursts that are over in an instant and only leave behind the memory of their sting. Agony of the soul is another thing entirely. It lingers, festers, a continuous dull ache that, in our weakest moments, overpowers us with savage ferocity.

There was once a man who harbored terrible pain within his soul. He had been strong once, but the fire in his heart had burned him from within, leaving only a hollow cinder. But what was it that lit the fire inside him? Some say it was greed, passion, a desire for companionship and a lust for all things beautiful... or perhaps it was some combination of those things.

Maybe it was love.
